Renee Wu was born in Taiwan, raised in Hong Kong, and now lives in Northern California, where she is an instructor at the studio that first introduced her to the wonderful world of pole, Poletential, in Redwood City. She has dabbled in different types of movement ever since she was a little girl, including gymnastics and multiple styles of dance. It was while obtaining her BS and MS degrees in physics, at Caltech and Stanford, that she realized how essential dance was for her, as not only a fun fitness workout, but as a form of creative expression and therapeutic outlet.
